BALTIMORE — More than 500 pieces of art made by students from Baltimore City and Baltimore County schools were on display at the gallery in Harborplace.

It's called the "Kindness for Paws" Art Show. The students were given pictures of animals adopted through the Maryland SPCA and then they made a portrait of the pets.

"We're we invited the community, the students, the parents, the teachers to come in, make a suggested donation of five dollars to buy any piece of art that they would like to, and they can also buy multiple pieces of art. All of this money will go back to helping animals the Maryland SPCA," said Katie Flory, of the Maryland SPCA.

There will be another art sale in Baltimore County at White Marsh mall next Sunday.

If you want to expand your family, the SPCA will have adoptable animals in front of the mall.
