ELLICOTT CITY, Md. — Mount Hebron High School won both divisions of the 19th Annual Economics Challenge. It was the first time in the history of the challenge, two teams from the same high school took the winning spot for both divisions.
“This is a testament to the deep commitment of the faculty and the students of Mt. Hebron High School," said said Nan J. Morrison, CEE’s President and CEO.
The challenge tests the best of the best high school students in their knowledge of economic principles, problem-solving and critical-thinking skills in relation to real-world events. It covers subjects such as microeconomics, macroeconomics, international and current events in quiz bowl and critical thinking rounds.
The finals consisted of 16 United States teams out of more than 10,000 students nationwide who had compete to represent their states. For more information on the competition, click here.
