BALTIMORE — School is just around the corner and thousands of Maryland students will be learning virtually.
WMAR-2 News joined forces with Fulton Bank and Preston Mitchum Jr. Foundation to get everyone ready for the school year, with a virtual back to school drive.
More than $4,000 was raised and WMAR-2 News’ parent company, Scripps has donated money as well.
The Virtual Back to School Drive was sponsored by Fulton Bank.
"With kids going back to school virtually they’re still in need of supplies. They’re out future and it’s very important we support them, and their growth and they have everything they need to be successful."
The Preston Mitchum Jr. Foundation is still collecting donations and Fulton Bank is also accepting donations at any of its branches.
