Afeni Shakur Davis, the mother of the late rapper Tupac Shakur, has died at the age of 69.
The Marin County Sheriff’s Department tweeted that Davis died late Monday night in Marin County, Calif.
Police responded to a report of a possible cardiac arrest at her home at 9:34 p.m. Monday. She was taken to the hospital where she died at 10:28 p.m.
The exact cause of her death is under investigation.
