BALTIMORE — Sip & Bite is letting you know that they are open!
The diner, which is in Southeast Baltimore, has been serving customers since 1948 and continues to do so during the pandemic.
Even thought they don't have dine-in service, they are offering carryout and delivery through third party services like Grubhub and DoorDash.
"We hope and pray that things will turn for the better and we'll get back to being able to do what we love which is serve the community and serve customers that have become friends that have become family and really get to talk to our customer base," said Co-owner Sofia Vasilides.
Amazingly, throughout this entire pandemic, the restaurant has not laid anyone off or cut anyone's salary. The owners promised to take care of their staff and have stuck to that.
Fun fact: Sip & Bite has been featured on the Food Network's "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives" and is known for crab cakes and spinach pies.
