TIMONIUM, Md. — Lidl will celebrate the grand opening of two new area supermarkets on December 9.

One store will be located at 15 E. Padonia Road in Timonium.

The other at 5722 Ritchie Highway in Brooklyn Park.

There will be a brief ribbon cutting in front of each between 7:15 and 7:40 am before doors officially open.

Both will have hours from 8 am to 9 pm 7-days a week.

“Bringing another location of a rapidly-growing global business like Lidl — and the jobs that they create — to our communities is exactly the progress we need to support our ongoing economic recovery amid the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Baltimore County Executive Johnny Olszewski.

If you're in need of a grocery shopping, Lidl says the first 100 customers will receive a special gift card ranging from $5 to $100 each.

Earlier this year, Lidl opened three other markets in Baltimore County including in Perry Hall, Catonsville, and Reisterstown, with another one in Aberdeen.

The chain also recently opened a new 754,000 square foot distribution and logistics center in Cecil County.
