COLUMBIA, Md. — The Great Harvest Bread Company in Columbia, Maryland is open for business!
They've had to adjust their hours, their baking schedule and their menu but they're still open. The owner, Judy Hanson, said their sandwiches are typically their best seller but they aren't selling them right now since there is a lower demand. They are selling all of their fresh baked goods and breads though!
They're open and baking on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. They're open on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. They typically bake six days a week and now are only baking three days a week.
Hanson said she's grateful for all of the cafe's loyal customers who are still buying bakery items from them. She said this is a bitter sweet time because they just celebrated being open for two years on Monday, in the middle of a pandemic. The bakery has been in business for more than a decade but Hanson bought it two years ago.
Great Harvest has been partnering with Harbor City Music Company to donate goodie boxes to various hospitals in Baltimore.
You can call them at 443-542-5912 to place your order for curbside pick-up or delivery. They're hoping to have online ordering ready by Friday on their website, www.greatharvestcolumbia.com.
