COLLEGE PARK, Md. — The University of Maryland's Chemical and Nuclear Engineering Building is currently under investigation following a fire.
According to the University of Maryland Police Department, individuals were conducting a lab experiment when a chemical reaction resulted in a fire. Responding crews were able to put the fire out.
Rooms 2113 - 2235 of the Chemical and Nuclear Engineering Building are still closed until clean up is complete.
The rest of the building has been re-opened along with all surrounding roadways.
