ABERDEEN, Md. — The Aberdeen IronBirds will put on a July 4th fireworks display at Leidos Field at Ripken Stadium.

The event will be of the drive-in experience, and watched from the parking lot of the stadium.

"The way that every different party and authority around Harford County have rallied together has been truly inspirational" IronBirds General Manager Jack Graham said. "Any semblance of normalcy and celebration will be a relief during what has been a difficult time across the country."

Showtime is at 8:30 p.m., but spectators are encouraged to park their cars by 7 p.m. in the direction towards the field. Officials are asking anyone planning to attend, to watch the show from their cars. If for some reason during the event you have to leave your car, it's requested that you social distance and wear a mask.

As a heads up, no bathrooms will be available. While not prohibited, pre-show tailgating is highly discouraged.

Once you arrive, turn your radio dial to 970 for event instructions, special music, and a show countdown.

Fireworks Extravaganza, the same company that puts on shows at IronBirds games during the season, will light the skies for this special event.

Several local businesses came together to sponsor and make the event possible.
