BALTIMORE — Baltimore Mayor Jack Young has decided to hold off making an announcement on when the city would begin stage two of its reopening.
On Wednesday, Young said he would wait until Friday to make a decision.

Before determining if the city should move forward, Young says Health Commissioner, Dr. Letitia Dzirasa needs time to review this week's test results, which could show the extent of transmission from Memorial Day activities and protests earlier this month.
"While the data continues to trend in the right direction, testing results from this week will help show the extent of transmission from Memorial Day activities and protests earlier this month. Once Dr. Dzirasa and her team have an opportunity to review this data, we will be able to make a better-informed decision about the next steps of our reopening," said Young.

Meanwhile, many local business owners have expressed frustration with Young and how far behind the city has been compared to other jurisdictions who've reopened in line with the state's "roadmap to recovery."
