OWINGS MILLS, MD. (WMAR) — Ravens fullback Patrick Ricard will remain with the team after racist tweets he posted years ago resurfaced.
They appeared before the Ravens' game against the Kansas City Chiefs Sunday.
At least six of the tweets from 2011 and 2012 used the "N" word.
Ricard has since apologized saying he was a "16-year-old kid in high school who clearly made bad choices."
The team plans on keeping the fullback who also has played on defense this season.
Head coach John Harbaugh tells WMAR-2 News “It’s been handled internally and it’s been handled by the leaders on our team.”
