BALTIMORE — The majors are more than a third of the way through the season and surprisingly, the Orioles are right in the thick of the playoff race.

A lot of it has to with the red-hot Anthony Santander.

The outfielder is third in all of baseball in home runs and he's riding a 14-game hit streak.

WMAR2 News spoke with Santander and his translator on what he feels has led to the change for the better.

"I really haven't changed a lot, I think the biggest difference is I’m more concentrated on the strike zone, trying to swing at good pitches, quality pitches, and not swinging at bad pitches, pitches that are out of the zone so I think that's the key.”

Santander will look to continue his home run hitting ways on Thursday night when the Orioles host the Red Sox.

The game's at 7:35 p.m.
