BALTIMORE — The Baltimore Orioles will produce the ninth-annual Oriole Pet Calendar with all proceeds benefiting the Baltimore Animal Rescue and Care Shelter.

Players took pictures with adoptable animals from BARCS on Wednesday for the calendar. It will feature Shawn Armstrong, Richard Bleier, Andrew Cashner, Chris Davis, David Hess, Trey Mancini, Rio Ruiz, Dan Straily, Austin Wynns, and manager Brandon Hyde.

So far, the full-color calendars have raised more than $345,000 for BARCS.

As the largest animal shelter in Maryland, BARCS takes in more than 11,000 dogs and cats, and an additional 1,000 exotic wildlife and other small mammals annually. On any given day, BARCS cares for 250 or more animals in the shelter, with an additional 2,000 animals in foster care annually.

The 2020 calendars will be available for purchase later this season for $15.
