BALTIMORE, Md. — The birds of Baltimore are back.

The Baltimore Orioles took to the field for a workout at Oriole Park at Camden Yards on Tuesday.

The O’s open the 2019 regular season on Thursday with a visit to New York to face the Yankees. First pitch is scheduled for 1:05 p.m.

New Orioles manager Brandon Hyde said Tuesday that pitcher Andrew Cashner will be Baltimore's opening day starter. Alex Cobb was to start game one but he is on the injured list with a groin injury.

The Orioles’ home opener is scheduled for Thursday, April 4, at 3:05 p.m. against the Yankees. Cobb is expected to get the start that game.
