Sonora's Enrique Canez scored the only goal of the first half.

Baltimore's Andrew Hoxie tied the game 31 seconds into the third quarter with a power play goal.

After Sonora scored the next three goals, Adriano Dos Santos notched the only goal of the fourth quarter.

Game Two is on Sunday night, at 9:05 p.m. EST, in Hermosillo, Mexico. If Sonora wins, they clinch the Ron Newman Cup as MASL champions. If the Blast wins, they force a winner-take-title mini-game immediately following Game Two.
