Jonatas Melo's goal 48 seconds into overtime clinched a Baltimore Blast 8-7 win over the Milwaukee Wave in game one of the Major Arena Soccer League's best-of three Eastern Conference Finals series Saturday night.
The Blast erased a three-goal third quarter deficit to tie the game at six through 45 minutes.
Vini Dantas scored his second goal of the game 19 seconds into the fourth quarter to put the Blast in front.
Milwaukee's Max Ferdinand tied things at 7 with only 1:07 remaining in regulation.
Dantas (2 goals, 2 assists) set up Melo's game-winner.
Baltimore's William Vanzela made 12 saves for Baltimore.
The Blast travel to Milwaukee on Tuesday for game two and potential series-deciding mini game. Kickoff is 7:35 p.m. from UW Milwaukee Panther Arena.
