The final venues for the Bassmaster Elite at Upper Chesapeake Bay presented by Mossy Oak Fishing have been set.

Initially slated to launch out of Havre de Grace, the tournament will now put in at Edgeood's Flying Point Park beginning Thursday, July 26 and running through Sunday, July 29. The weigh-in for the first two days of the tournament will take place at Flying Point Park.

For the final two days of the tournament, the live weigh-ins will take place at Ripken Stadium in Aberdeen.

“Harford County is a perfect fishing spot for the Bassmaster Elite tournament,” said County Executive Barry Glassman.  “We are excited and getting ready to show all the anglers and their fans a great time this summer."

Ripken Stadium will also host a free family festival prior to the weigh-ins. Fish will be brought to the stadium in specially designed bags and tanks, then returned to the bay after each daily weigh-in.

“Bassmaster’s unique fish transportation process will give our tournament an exciting spin, it’s environmentally friendly and features a 98+ percent survival rate for the fish,” said Greg Pizzuto, executive director of Visit Harford!. “It’ll really be a sight to see and ensures that visitors get a taste of all that Harford County has to offer.”

The Elite series is returning to the Upper Bay for the first time since 2015. In that tournament, Aaron Martens bested the field, bringing more than 70 pounds to the scales over four days, on his way to winning the 2015 Angler of the Year title.
