The Baltimore Ravens teamed up with M&T Bank for their annual Earth Day event Thursday.
About 100 volunteers from the Ravens and M&T Bank worked with local organizations to contribute to the revitalization work that is already underway in the city’s Johnston Square Community and Ambrose Kennedy Park.
Volunteers stopped by the park to remove concrete and debris from demolished houses, clean up the park area, and spruce up the community gateway.
"We really want to do our best in making Baltimore a greener and more sustainable city,” said Keenan Harrell, a Ravens’ Community Relations Coordinator. “The only way to do that is to jump in and just do it like we are today."
The Earth Day event is all in line with GamePlanEarth, a season-long environmental initiative that was created by the Ravens to make Baltimore more sustainable.
