A day after tearing his Achilles Jimmy Smith is facing discipline from the National Football League.

The Ravens' best cornerback has been suspended four games for violating the league's policy on performance-enhancing drugs.

Smith, who had been battling an Achilles injury all season, tore it on a non-contact play in the second quarter of Sunday's Ravens' 44-20 win over the Lions.

He was in the midst of his best season as a pro.  His 2017 season ends with 26 tackles, 3 interceptions and 9 passes defensed in 12 games.
