COLLEGE PARK, Md. — University of Maryland men's basketball star Bruno Fernando is headed to the NBA.
On Thursday night the Philadelphia 76ers picked the 6-foot, 10-inch forward 34th overall in the second round of the NBA Draft.
The 76ers then reportedly traded Fernando to the Atlanta Hawks, where he would reunite with former Maryland teammate Kevin Huerter.

Fernando, leaves UMD following his sophomore year where he averaged 13.6 points a game, and earned First Team All-Big Ten and All-Big Defensive Team honors.
