BALTIMORE — Baltimore Mayor Jack Young honored two-time super featherweight champion Gervanta "Tank" Davis at a ceremony at City Hall Wednesday morning by giving him the key to the city.

Tank is the first world champion from Baltimore to make a homecoming defense in almost 80 years.

"I'm very excited to be coming back home to Baltimore to bring on a big fight, a big event," said Davis. "I actually grew up here; I stayed here to be reachable for the youth. I didn't really want to do it out of town; I wanted to do it from home so its more meaningful."

Saturday night Tank will face Ricardo Núńez from Royal Farms Arena. The fight will air live on Showtime with coverage starting at 9 p.m.
