It was a battle of the unbeatens Thursday afternoon. Undefeated Boys' Latin traveled to undefeated McDonogh in a showdown for the top spot in the MIAA.
The Lakers led 4-2 at the half. Boys' Latin continued to score in the third, advancing

At the end of three, the Lakers held a 7-3 lead. But the Eagles didn't let them stop them. McDonogh scored four unanswered goals to tie the game 7-7.

The teams traded goals, ending the game tied at 9 and sending it in to overtime.

It took double overtime, but McDonogh's Hurdle finds the back of the net and gives the Eagles the win.

McDonogh remains unbeaten in the MIAA, Boys' Latin falls to 6-1 in conference.
The Eagles are back in action Friday when they host Archbishop Spaulding at 4:15 p.m.
The Lakers host Gilman Friday at 4:15 p.m.
