In an important week nine game with possible playoff implications, the Baltimore Ravens are unable to top their division rival Pittsburgh Steelers.
On Sunday afternoon, Baltimore fell to the Steelers 23-16 at M&T Bank Stadium.
With the loss, the Ravens now have a losing regular season record of 4-5. Baltimore has been defeated in four out of their last five contests and is 1-3 within their division, good for third place.
After getting off to a 3-0 lead in the first quarter on a Justin Tucker field goal, the Ravens would never recapture it.
In all the Ravens scored only one touchdown, which came on a third quarter one-yard run from Alex Collins.
For Pittsburgh, Ben Roethlisberger completed 28 out of 47 pass attempts for two touchdowns.
The Ravens will now go into a week 10 bye, followed by a 1 p.m. home game against the Cincinnati Bengals on October 18.
