The St. Frances boys basketball team locked up the top seed in the Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association's A Conference Red Division on Friday night with a 65-58 win over fellow powerhouse Mount St. Joseph.
Elijah Epps and Jordan Toles each scored a team-high 13 points for the Panthers (31-4).
The Gaels' James Bishop led all scorers with 25 points. Jalen Smith (committed to University of Maryland) added 22 points for Mount St. Joseph (27-4).
Next comes the MIAA quarterfinals on Tuesday. The Panthers host Mount Carmel on 7 p.m. The Gaels host McDonogh at 7 p.m.
