With just 18 days before the Columbia Iron Girl triathlon, I'm in full training mode.
Now that I feel more confident about the swim, I've moved on to the bike. Since the course is very hilly, I'm concentrating on strengthening my legs and my lungs for those hills.
I convinced my dad to join me on a ride through Jacksonville, Md. on Sunday. We completed the 12-mile loop in an hour, which I think was pretty good considering how tough the ride on Jarrettsville Pike was.
Then I looked at the Iron Girl course and it's definitely more hilly!
Looks like I have to find some more hills to tackle! I'm looking to do another ride on Wednesday. Anyone have any suggestions?
