Under Armour released a new commercial featuring Olympic swimmer and Baltimore native, Michael Phelps.
The video, just over a minute long, is part of the local sportswear brand’s #RuleYourself campaign, which shows off the rigor of sports training as seen through some of the nation’s top athletes.
Phelps’ pool laps, gym workouts, and even meals, are captured on film, with The Kills’ song, “The Last Goodbye,” added as a moving soundtrack.
The inspirational video ends with the quote, “It’s what you do in the dark that puts you in the light.”

The swimmer announced the video’s release Monday morning on his Facebook page, with a video of his emotional reaction after seeing it for the first time alongside his wife, Nicole.
“That commercial shows a lot of amazing things about me that probably the world has never seen,” he said in the clip.
