ARNOLD, Md. — As summer approaches and weather gets warmer, the tune of ice cream trucks riding through neighborhoods is a tradition for many.
With the COVID-19 pandemic, not much has been traditional for us humans.
So how do you think our furry four legged friends feel? For a while dog parks and groomers were closed and many pet friendly events remain canceled.
Luckily for them, there's Dogwood Acres Pet Retreat out of Davidsonville.
While their facility is open to take care of your dog or cat, a lot of pets remain home with their owners as the pandemic continues on. But that doesn't mean they can't have some fun too.
So the family owned business decided to get creative and turn their "Bark & Ride" van, into a "Pupsicle" truck.
Normally the van designed to resemble a school bus is used to pickup and transport furry fellas to doggy daycare. Lately though, its driven through different Anne Arundel County neighborhoods handing out delicious frozen treats to dogs stuck at home.
Can you guess what tune the truck plays as it rides on by? If you said "Who Let the Dog's Out," you would be right. Go figure!
According to their Facebook Page, Dogwood Acres is taking suggestions on where they should next take the "Pupsicle" truck.
