BALTIMORE — A lot of people are going through tough times and many are having trouble finding a hot meal.

United Way is helping change that by teaming up with Holly Poultry, H&S Bakery and DJ Kopec for one last food distribution at the community assistance network.

DJ Kopec spun tunes while volunteers passed out chicken and rolls.

“It's important right now because even thought everything is opening up again there is still a huge need in the community that's not going to go away. So, we want to make sure that we're doing everything that we can to help the people that really need it."

Over the last three months H&S Bakery has donated three tractor trailers full of bread and Holly Poultry has donated 150,00 pounds of chicken.

That's enough food to feed about 650,000 people.
