BALTIMORE — Staff at Saint Agnes Hospital in Baltimore on Wednesday celebrated their 100th successful discharge of a COVID-19 positive patient.

The hospital calls occasions like this one, a Code Happy. When it's announced, associates and caregivers throughout the hospital form a human tunnel to cheer the patient on as they leave the hospital, and move on to the next stage in their recovery.

As of Thursday morning, there are 1,711 people hospitalized with COVID-19 in Maryland, including 590 patients in intensive care.
