Baltimore Farmers' Market and Bazaar opens June 14 with certain COVID-19 restrictions in place

BALTIMORE — Lovers of farmers' markets rejoice! The Baltimore Farmers' Market and Bazaar under the JFX is opening on Sunday June 14.

It was originally scheduled to open in April but was postponed due to restrictions because of COVID-19.

There will be some changes in place to maintain health and safety standards. The market will have a reduced number of vendors, total capacity of shoppers will be limited and market traffic will go in one direction from a specific entrance point. Here are how are farmers' markets in the Baltimore area are operating under COVID-19 restrictions:

Anne Arundel County Farmers' Market (end date varies)

You'll find this market off the Harry S. Truman Pkwy in Annapolis. It is open Wednesdays from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m., Saturdays from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Face masks are required, only one shopper per family and pre-orders are suggested.

Baltimore County Farmers' Market (now-October 28)

This market is held every Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 1p.m. by the Fairgrounds main gate in Lutherville-Timonium. Face masks are required, no pets are allowed and customers are encouraged to allow vendors to select and bag their purchases.

Carroll County Farmers' Market

This market opens for its summer season on June 13 and will be open every Saturday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Carroll County Agriculture Center in Westminister. The market will operate at 50% capacity and everyone must wear face masks.

Cecil County Farmers' Market (now-October 30)

This market operates every Friday from 2-6 p.m. at the United Methodist Church off South Main St. NE in Northeast.

Harford County Farmers' Market (end date varies)

There are three locations for the Harford County Farmers' Market. The one in Aberdeen is held every Thursday at the Festival Park from 4-7 p.m. The market in Bel Air is open from 7-11 a.m. at the Mary Risteau Courthouse. And the market in Havre de Grace is open from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Hutchins Park.

Howard County Farmers' Market (end date varies)

There are three locations for this market. The one on Wednesdays is at the Miller Public Library in Ellicott City from 2-6 p.m. The one on Saturdays is at Clarksville Commons from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. And the one on Sundays is at Robert Oliver Place in Columbia from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
