Toddler's death ruled homicide due to overdose in South Baltimore

BALTIMORE — Baltimore doctors have ruled the death of a two-year-old girl a homicide due to overdose.

Police were initially called to investigate reports of an unresponsive child on November 18, 2022.

It all happened around 7:29 p.m., when officers responded to the 3000 block of Elizabeth Avenue. Once there, officers found Sofia Talley unresponsive with blood coming from her nose.

On July 11, 2023, the medical examiner ruled the death a homicide due to overdose.
