NEW MARKET, Md. — A major roadway that runs through New Market toward I-70 was shut down for hours following a multi-vehicle collision that involved a Sheriff's deputy.
It happened around 10:45 am Monday, in the 6100 block of Route 75- Green Valley Road in Frederick County.
At the time of the pileup, the involved deputy had been heading to another call in the 11500 block of Old Annapolis Road in Libertytown.
The Sheriff's Office says the deputy was taken by ambulance to a hospital with leg and back pain.
No one else was injured.
