BALTIMORE, Md. — Baltimore City Animal Control are investigating an animal cruelty case that involved two seriously injured cats that were found inside of a dumpster.

Animal Control was called to the 5600 block of O'donnell Street for a report of the two cats found on January 2. At the scene, they found an adult cat and a dead kitten in a plastic bag.

They say, Miso, the adult cat was covered in an adhesive substance that was attaching the bag to his body. Miso was observed to have head trauma and was underweight and freezing.

The dead kitten was found in a plastic baggy with a zip tie around his neck.

Luckily, Animal Control units transported Miso to BARCS where they put him in an incubator for warmth before sending him to an ER clinic.

Miso was able to recover for 3 days with funding provided by BARCS' Franky Fund. He has been discharged from the clinic and is now in the care of a rescue group.
