FORT MEADE — 80 vials, equating to about 800 doses of the Moderna vaccine, were improperly handled at the Kimbrough Ambulatory Care Center.
It was discovered on April 12 that the vials were improperly handled outside of the manufacturers temperature range.
The vaccines were administered from April 7 - 12 at the McGill Training Center in Fort Meade.
Moderna and the Immunization Health Branch of the Health Branch Agency have determined that vaccines given provide no risk of harm to the recipient.
However, it is unsure if the provided doses provide protection, therefore, repeat doses are being offered to recipients.
