Local manufacturing companies team up to get employees vaccinated

BALTIMORE — Local manufacturing companies are working to vaccinate essential workers.

Pompeian teamed up with six other companies to vaccinate employees at its Baltimore headquarters on Wednesday.

More than 200 employees got their first dose of the Pfizer vaccine.

"The response has been great. People are excited about it, we had a you know some cheers happening this morning when the first person got vaccinated and everybody is looking forward to kind of breathing a sigh of relief after getting this first dose."

In addition to Pompeian employees, workers from Saval Foods, Maryland Chemical Company, Vanns Spices, Goetz Candy, Tuloff Food Products and Ackerman and Baynes Steel Fabrication were vaccinated as well.
