BALTIMORE — Darnell Davis nearly died several time during his long battle with COVID-19.
The virus caused organ failure and forced him to undergo a massive blood transfusion.
After spending 31 days at Shock Trauma, 17 of which were on advanced life support, the local real estate agent lived to tell about it.
On Thursday night, Davis was honored at the virtual R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Heroes Celebration.
Now he's sharing his story and urging people to get vaccinated.
