BALTIMORE — We're just five days away from the Preakness Stakes.
And on Monday, MedStar Health vaccinated backstretch racing employees at Pimlico. That includes staff and jockeys.
They received their first dose. The vaccines were provided by the Maryland Vaccine Equity Task Force.
"This is a perfect example of working with our community partners, working with MedStar, to be at an actual location where we're going to have many people very soon for a big event over the weekend. We find that these community outreach events are very important because this is the way we're going to make that last mile and to make those final connections."
Racing employees were also vaccinated at Laurel Park.
