BALTIMORE — One of the scientists who developed the coronavirus vaccine says it is time for the phrase "Vaccine Hesitancy" to be retired.
Doctor Kizzmekia Corbett appeared on Good Morning America this morning. She is a graduate of UMBC and now, she is the lead immunologist at the Vaccine Research Center, at the National Institutes of Health.
Corbett and her team developed the technology behind the Moderna COVID vaccine.
This morning on GMA, TJ Holmes asked her whether "Vaccine hesitancy" was still a problem preventing more people in minority communities from being vaccinated.
"You know what TJ I actually like to change the narrative a little bit and instead of calling it hesitancy I call it vaccine inquisitiveness, and you know what it is getting better. People have questions but they are seeking answers in the right place and we are seeing high turnout with getting the vaccine, so we are all hopeful," she said.
