BALTIMORE — The Baltimore Fire Officers Association on Tuesday sent a letter to Mayor Brandon Scott sharing their opposition to any COVID-19 vaccine mandates.
In the letter President Joshua L. Fannon, of the local International Association of Firefighters, said an internal poll showed members were overwhelmingly against any potential policy decision that would require vaccination.
Fannon did say the union would continue encouraging members to get vaccinated.
So far, Scott's office hasn't publicly revealed any plans to require vaccines in Baltimore, including for first responders.
