The widespread rain of Tuesday has finally come to an across most locations around Maryland with the exception being at the beach. Drier air will continue to move in overnight and into the day Wednesday with an isolated shower or two in the afternoon.
With the rain today and persistent cloud cover our long heat wave finally came to an end. Highs today were only in the 70s making this our coolest day since June 14th, 2019. High pressure will continue to build to our west on Wednesday forcing the jet-stream south which will promote seasonable temperatures instead of significant heat.
In addition, humidity values will drop drastically which means most of the workweek and even into the weekend will feel quite comfortable. It's truly been quite some time since we could say that.
The cool stuff won't stick around for long as the jet-stream slowly lifts back to the north with high pressure moving east over the weekend. Highs will be in the low to mid 80s Wednesday through Friday before getting back to the low 90s for the weekend and into early next week.
Our forecast will remain dry though with low humidity and no significant heat. This simply means there is no excuse not too get outdoors and enjoy many of the festivities/fairs going on all across the region. Overnight lows not too bad either in the upper 50s and low to mid 60s before warmer air returns for the weekend ahead. Enjoy!!!
