Things have been quiet weather wise for us here in Maryland over the last few days..but that begins to change as we head into the day tomorrow. Showers and thunderstorms are likely Tuesday that will linger into the start of the day Wednesday. The good news-- the threat for severe weather will remain to our south. Looks like the start of the day will be cloudy with a few isolated showers.
Rain chances increase as we head into the afternoon. A few rumbles of thunder are not out of question--and some of rounds of rain could be moderate to heavy. The evening drive looks to be a bit messy.
The area of low pressure will be pushing through Thursday evening...so that's we'll see the potential for the heaviest showers and that rain will be pushing eastward through the overnight. There will be a few lingering showers Wednesday morning--but we'll start to see sunshine as we head into the afternoon.
Rain totals will mostly be around an inch...but some locations, especially on the eastern shore could pick up 2"+. While we've been relatively dry lately... that doesn't pose a major flood risk, but we'll be watching just in case showers begin training.
