A cold front will slowly make its way across the area tomorrow, bringing with it a chance for strong storms. We'll be primarily concerned with heavy rain and damaging wind, but we could see decent hail embedded in some storms.
A few sprinkles will be possible during the morning hours, but the main chance for thunderstorms won't arrive until afternoon. By then, the front will have forced most of the energy along and east of the Chesapeake Bay, which is why that is the area under the level 1 risk for strong to severe storms. Most of activity tapers down as we head into the evening, so the day won't be a complete waste.
The big pay off comes Friday-- dewpoints drop nearly 20 degrees AND temperatures will be in the lower 80s....perfect for that evening stroll in the park, or maybe a little dinner outside. A good way to end the work week!
Enjoy!
