A weak front will approach the area tomorrow, and as we head into the afternoon we will have the potential to see a few strong to severe thunderstorms. Most of the state of Maryland will be under a Level 1 Risk-- with means isolated severe thunderstorms will be possible-- with damaging wind gusts (60mph+), large hail, and heavy rain will be the primary threats.
The day will start off mostly sunny-- but as the system slides into the area during the afternoon, some of the thunderstorms may become more robust. Most of the energy start to mellow out as we head into the evening hours. While I don't think this will be a major event, it only takes one cell tapping into energy to produce flash flooding or down trees. We will be watching.
