A beautiful Monday leads to a repeat Tuesday before all good things come to an end. Yes this picture perfect weather pattern is not going to last as heat, humidity, and storm chances look to return by midweek. Some of these storms look to be severe come Wednesday afternoon but some uncertainty remains within the timing of the main energy source according to the models.
What we do know is that there will be a front in the area come Wednesday afternoon. At the same time we will have heat making a return with highs in the low to mid 80s and moist air advecting in from the southwest to provide us with the perfect storm fuel.
The question though surrounds the timing and placement of the front. If the front arrives during the late afternoon and early evening hours we are able to maximize the storm fuel especially if sunshine is not limited. The threat could be reduced though if storms fire early to late morning to our west overspreading cloud cover into our area which in turn suppresses the severe threat.
Either way Wednesday brings the chance of multiple rounds of storms so stay tuned for updates. Wind and hail look to be the primary threats with any storms along with the concern for localized flooding heading into the weekend. This will be the start of a very unsettled weather pattern with high pressure locked to our north putting us in a favorable zone of low pressure to keep wet weather chances going into the weekend ahead. Right now it looks as if Wednesday and Sunday hold the best chances for rain with smaller chances of rain in between.
No washouts are expected but you may wanna have that rain gear nearby just in case. Be sure to keep it here for the latest on the ever changing weather situation ahead.
