A stationary front is to blame for the wet weather we'll be contending with through the weekend.

So far this month, BWI has picked up 4.69" of rain. That's more rain than we've had in all of January, December and November combined! While things have been very wet so far this month and more rain is on the way, we are no where near the wettest February on record. The record stands at 7.16" from February 1979.

More rain is expected through Sunday. An additional 1-2" of rain is possible and there is a potential for some flooding across Central Maryland.
