BALTIMORE — Arctic air plunges into Maryland tonight through much of Monday. High pressure will allow for sunshine as we kick off the week, but despite the sunshine, temperatures will remain frigid.
A wind chill advisory has been issued for the entire area through Monday midday.
This is the coldest air of the season thus far. Wind chill values Monday morning will be between -5 and -15.
Even in the afternoon, wind chill values will remain in the single digits or below zero.
Frostbite and hypothermia will be real concerns. Make sure you limit your time outdoors as this kind of cold can be dangerous. And don't forget about the pets, bring them inside as they are also susceptible to the cold temperatures.
