Monday will be the hottest day of this heat wave. A heat advisory has now been added to Monday for areas west of the bay. Temperatures will feel like 105-110 degrees between noon and 8PM. The added warmth is as we are forecasting even more sun than what we saw on Sunday. East of the bay, continues the excessive heat warning where temperatures will feel like 112 degrees thru 8pm Monday.

Remember to close your blinds, where light colored clothes, and bring plenty of water wherever you go. Don't leave a kid or pet in the car, even if you think you will be gone for just 1 minute. Sometimes 1 minute can turn into 5 or 10 and that is too dangerous in this heat. If you find someone suffering from heat exhaustion or heat stroke, cool them off. Wrap them in a wet towel and give them water if they are conscious.

The heat does begin to calm down Tuesday as a front stalls by nearby and leads to more clouds. A cold front doesn't make it through until Friday pushing us back into the 80s. The seasonal air won't last long though. The last week of July should return to 15 degrees above normal temperatures again. Time to learn how to make popsicles!
