Eta still hanging around

Posted

The weather in Maryland is calm, quiet and serene. Unfortunately, the same thing can't be said for the tropics. They are active, as Eta is still holding on for dear life.

Eta is a Tropical Depression with winds sustained at 30 mph. It's moving to the WNW at 8 mph and continues to produce heavy rain and life-threatening flooding over portions of Central America.

Eta will restrengthen once it enters the warm waters of the Caribbean. From there, it will head towards Cuba, then possibly Florida or it will enter the Gulf of Mexico. Bottom line: Eta could make a U.S. landfall by next week.

Stay tuned!
