From storms to sun and cold

and last updated

Strong to severe storms will give way to plenty of sunshine and much cooler temps Friday into the weekend.

A powerful cold front will creep through bringing the potential for strong to severe storms, unfortunately, while the trick or treaters are out trying to collect candy. We still need the rain but the timing couldn't be worse.....on Halloween and while the trick or treaters are out and about. A line of showers and storms will barrel in from the west to east between 7pm and midnight with gusty damaging winds and an isolated tornado can't be ruled out.

Behind the front, lives much colder air which will be felt on Friday as high temps will only rise to the mid 50s. It becomes even colder Saturday morning with lows in the low to mid 30 and highs staying below normal, in the mid to upper 50s. The 30s for lows and 50s for highs trend will stick around through the weekend into Monday.

It's sweater weather but a warm coat is also highly recommended this weekend through Monday.
