After kicking off the week with comfortable high temperatures in the low 80s, the heat and humidity will make a comeback late week.
High pressure will build late week allowing for sunshine. A southerly flow will be transporting very warm and humid air our direction. High temperatures will soar into the 90s. Dew point values will climb into the upper 60s and low 70s, making it feel very muggy and uncomfortable.
While subsidence should keep thunderstorm chances to a minimum, a storm or two cannot be completely discounted. The daytime heating coupled with the extreme humidity could be enough to pop off an isolated thundershower or two.
